Christmas Candlelight Home Tour

| | |

The glow of the Christmas candlelight is so wonderful. There is nothing like sitting in a room during the Christmas season and all of the lights are out except for the Christmas tree or the glowing garland.

After the hustle and bustle of getting everything ready for Christmas, it’s always so cathartic to me and reminds of the peace of the season and to stop and take it all in.

I loved taking the challenge to decorate my home for Christmas with just the tinkle lights and candles on. And it is a great way to end the holiday postings since you can just grab a hot drink and come and enjoy all of the homes on the tour! We’ll be sharing them all week.

I’ll hush and let you enjoy the rest of the tour in peace and quiet. 😉

I love to display my nativity scene in the entry way for everyone to see. It’s a special place of prominence and it’s so important to me since it’s the purpose for the entire season. But I have a problem… I have a 2-year-old who would quickly smash each figurine into tiny pieces.

So this year I figured out a way that displays it here in the front of our home and she can’t quite reach it. I put it all up on a box and placed the garland in front. So far, so good. She just comes by and points and says “Baby Jesus” in her adorable 2-year-old voice. I did buy her her own set (found here) so that she had one to play with, so I’m not completely a meany mommy. 😉

My “O Holy Night” sign is proudly displayed under my gallery wall and I will probably keep putting it back here every year until I completely change this space. I fits perfectly and I love it! One of my most favorite DIYs ever.

My new artwork in this corner really embodies my stance on decorating for Christmas by thinking ahead to winter. This adorable snow scene with a red barn will be gorgeous on my wall until March rolls around, don’t you think? See the art work here.

The turquoise blue baby Jesus ornament is my new favorite ornament from a local shop here in town. But I found it online for you and as I’m typing it, it’s 51% off!! Whoop! Click here to get your own turquoise nativity ornament. 🙂

Thank you so much for taking my Christmas Nights Home Tour. I thoroughly enjoyed showing you all around! SaveSaveSaveSaveSaveSaveSaveSave

  3. Your tree is beautiful! I love the nighimet twinkly photos. Great idea to keep your nativity up & out of your little ones reach. If I had done that years ago I would still have 3 kings instead of only one!

I want one of those turquoise baby Jesus ornaments, but the link didn’t work for me. Could you email me the url, please?
