Clark+Kensington Oyster Pearl
I used Oyster Pearl in the Clark and Kensington Paint and Primer in One Satin Enamel for my guest bathroom makeover!
Hi friends! I’ve completed my first painting project of the year. Didn’t take long, did it? 🙂
When we bought our house almost two years ago, the entire house, Every. Single. Room. including the garage, was painted builder’s beige. And honestly I don’t mind beige. I picked it for the main living area in my old house. But this beige was a little too orange-y for me. So I set out to paint every room.
In 23 months, I’ve painted all but three of the rooms of this house. Those rooms are the two guest bedrooms and the second bath. But that all changed this week as I gave the bathroom a fresh coat of paint!
I went to Ace Hardware and I picked out the color Oyster Pearl in the Clark+Kensington Paint and Primer in One Satin Enamel. {I was so ready to get rid of the flat paint in there!} The paint went on smooth and covered well. I did paint two coats, but I always paint two coats no matter what.
I already had my shower curtain for inspiration. I want to pull in some pops of color like yellows, pinks, maybe some reds. So I decided to keep the background pretty neutral. I love grays, and so Oyster Pearl looked like a great gray for this space.
When I started painting it on, it looked very blue to me. But I have learned while painting my other rooms, that when painting over beige, it tends to make grays look super blue until I have all of the beige covered up. So, I kept painting. After it was all painted and dried, it definitely has some blue undertones, but I am digging that. {You can’t really see the blue on the screen, but you can definitely see it in person.}
I really love the color and I love it paired with my pretty shower curtain.
I can’t wait to share the rest of the room soon! I was playing with a yellow vase I have and some other decor items. And I have some old prints from my great-grandmother’s house that I’m going to frame and hang. Eeek! Another room is coming together!
I really liked this color. something to thing about for my own bathroom this summer. I recently just used Clark and Kensington Silver Glamour paint in my bedroom. It looks fantastic
Love this color and your adorable bathroom update. Hopping over from Cheerios and Lattes
Love the color choices!! Found you on Lovely Ladies Linky.

Not yet, but I’ll bet I can find one real quick!!
I like the low tide color.
I have used so many of the Clark-Kensington paints, but I am sitting in my family room now and it is painted Butterscotch and I just love it! I like to buy the low VOC paint and with added primer it covers super well.
I’ve really become addicted to the paint+primer paints as well. They are great!!
I’ve never heard of them til I read your blog.
Great giveaway! I love Ace and their paint.
i like the beyond the sea
My favorite Clark & Kensington paint color is Terra Sol, #4044.
I dont have a favorite color because I haven’t tried their paint yet.

I love Oyster Pearl! You have good taste 😉
i don’t but i would love to try them out in my bathroom.
I love Peek O’ Blue paint color.
I love this paint color! It’s so light and peaceful! I agree with you–the beige you had was just a little too orange-ey. I have the same problem in my house!
We just bought a house 12 months ago and we are in the process of remodeling and painting. This would be awesome. I love the color!
No, but I mean to try their paint soon. I will need it for the bathroom.
I love “beach house”! When I am stuck between two (or more) paint colors- I pick the best name! 🙂 Thanks for the chance at the give-away! I really need to repaint a room!
That name has come up a few times! I’m going to have to check it out!!
This color is so lovely! Great choice Laura! I would really love this same color in our master bedroom… we’re working to banish all of our builder beige as well!
I love the color you chose! We’re looking for something similar for our kitchen.
this is a new brand for me to try
thanks for the giveaway
This brand is new to me, but I really love the oyster pearl. This will be a great starting point for me. I want to thank you for the chance to win this. It would mean the world to me to be able to paint, and I appreciate your hard work in reviewing/hosting.

I am not familiar with their colors, but that Oyster Pearl looks great!
We bought paint from them to do living room awhile back but I can’t remember the name of color. I am looking for a pretty grey color now :-)!
We just bought a new home and there are a couple of rooms that need some paint. Our new house is literally a quarter mile from an Ace Hardware, so I can go in there and look at the colors they have to offer.
I like Designer White, Flat non glare! It is a pain to do primer then paint, and many people just paint with regular paint and don’t know why after 3 coats the results aren’t great, so paint and primer together is amazing!
I do not have one
I had previously never heard of this brand but I think I will be trying them for my next project! Your bathroom looks great!
Im not familiar with this brand, but will check them out – we have some painting to do soon
Ii’ve not used this brand, but I’m going to try it. Your bathroom looks great.
Just bought teal bedding in the same pattern as your shower curtain off Zulily and will be looking for a dark orange color paint for a wall of our bedroom!
That sounds awesome!
I think it’s called Eggshell. It’s an off white color and we use it in the hallways, etc.
Too many colors to pick a favorite!
I like the warm biscuit C&K -it’s perfect in my downstairs basement room.
we’ve never used clark & kensington paint before, but we’ll be looking for colors for the new house soon and would totally check out their colors. I love how the oyster pearl came out for your bathroom!
I have never used it but your color looks great!
I really like the Oyster Pearl. It’s a great neutral color, but it isn’t just a basic eggshell or beige.
That’s a great neutral color
I am getting ready to paint some rooms in my house and this would help out a lot….plus I’m going lighter!!!
I love the color it’s a perfect neutral.
i would be partial to any soft pastel blues and pinks…..i am thinking about repainting the “junk” room i am turning into a beach-themed crafting room
I’m a big fan of the Beyond the Sea blue, especially for a bathroom.
I think it’s a popular color! 🙂
I like lighter shades of blue!

I’ve never heard of the paint brand before, but my favorite colors are turquoise, so I would choose a color similar to it. I like the color you chose, as well.
I could use some oster-pearl to brighten things up.
Love the sheen of the oyster pearl you used. Thanks for the opportunity to win-my husband and I are at the handware store all the time these days!
We have purchased plumbing supplies but I’ve never used paint for Ace Hardware. Love the color you chose and would love to win a gift card for paint!
It’s great paint! You should definitely try it sometime!
I am looking for the perfect grey blue color, I think you may have found it. I will be popping into my local store to check out the color in person. I have to say you will be my new BFF if you have found the color that has been in my head for over a year now in reality. 🙂

I’m moving and starting with a whole new paint scheme. I need to buy coordinating items for the bathrooms, kitchen, and living room
I don’t have one color that I would say is my favorite–I just love so many and we are painting our kitchen cabinets so I am narrowing it down to a few to choose from…
I am dealing with the same builder beige problem throughout our home, as well, and feel your joy as you cross another room off the list!! I actually haven’t seen this brand of paint colors yet, but would love to check it out to find a favorite!
