Essential Oils Every Home Needs: Stress Away

Learn how to use Young Living Stress Away essential oils in your home to bring a calming effect on your family!

I know it’s not a Saturday, but I’m here to talk about one of my FAVE essential oils on the whole stinkin’ planet. It’s my BFF of oils. The one that Just. Gets. Me. You know what I’m talking about, right? {A bunch of my friends and I are talking about our favorite oils today, so be sure to check them out at the end along with an amazing giveaway, including Stress Away!}

I don’t think of myself as a particularly stressed out person, but I am a type-A, first-child, always-doing-a-project kind of girl. I love being productive and I love to just get things done. I’m a planner and some {my hubby} may even call me a bit of a control freak. So when things don’t go my way or I need to adjust my schedule {or my attitude}, there’s this little bottle of wonderfulness that is Stress Away.

The Amazing Uses of Stress Away Essential Oil Blend

Back in February, when I got my Premium Starter Kit in the mail, I immediately started sniffing all of the amazing oils. I’m sure everyone does this. I’d heard of Lemon and Peppermint, Lavender and Thieves. But I’d never heard of Stress Away. It was love at first whiff. It smelled like the beach to me, and I loooooove the beach. So that was a win. {It’s a blend containing lime and vanilla among other oils … yum!} And then I rubbed a little on the back of my neck and after a few minutes I felt a subtle relaxation come over me. A calmness, if you will. I’ve used it daily since that day. And I never, no never leave home without it.

A drop a day keeps the stress away!

It has an ever so subtle, but powerful effect on me. I find that if I use it every day, then I’m more likely to just roll with life and get less irritable about small things. When I forget to use it in the morning, I’ll be cooking dinner in the evening and wondering why I want to scream. Oh yeah, because I forgot my stress away.

{While I’m thinking about it, I’m going to go put some in the diffuser… Ahhh, much better!}

Stress Away for the Crankies

Up until recently, I’ve just been using it on myself, but I have a wonderful new use for it!

Summer is the season of travel for us. My hubby is a coach and a teacher, so we cram in a LOT of fun during the summer months. We’re either going to the beach, the lake or visiting family or friends. We pretty much live in the car. 🙂 My daughter is 3.5 years old and travels pretty well, but after so long in the car she gets a little over it, if you know what I mean.

A couple of weeks ago we were driving home from Atlanta and she was really cranky. I mean whining and crying and we could not figure out how to calm her down. So, I grabbed some napkins and dropped a few drops of Stress Away on them and stuck them in the air vents. Quickly the air filled with the sweet smell of lime and vanilla. And within 5 minutes Miss A was calm. Ahhh, sweet relief!

Diffuse Stress Away in the car for peaceful road trips!

{cotton balls are pictured here in the vents; I now keep a bag of them in the glove compartment}

About an hour and a half later, she was getting cranky again and we added a few drops to the napkins. Within minutes she was quiet and then I looked back and she was sleeping. Hallelujah!! Peace at last. 🙂 I’ll never go on a road trip again without diffusing Stress Away in the car. Never. #takethatcrankytoddler #nomorewhining

  9. This is the best giveaway ever……as Young Living has the most wonderful oils. Would be grateful to win any of the oils but would be estatic to win Frankinsense as it has been dramatic in helping my dear one when he fell and gashed his nose and was out for about 20min. …blood all over the place. I cleaned the gash with purification, used Frankinsense to stop bleeding (works almost immediately) and lavender to with Frankinsense to stop brusing as he should have had horrible black eyes and this never happened because of these great oils. Lavender is wonder to stop the itching of hives and works like a charm. The lavender lotion works also. Hoping to be one of the winners and have been a Y/L member for almost 20 years.
