I love a good lamp. You’ve seen several of my favorite lamp finds over the past year and half, but I’m always on the lookout for great, inexpensive lighting. I think it completes a room; and I love low lighting. Most evenings, I like to turn off all of the overhead lights and just use the lamps in my house. It gives it such a warm and cozy feeling!

Fall Vignette with new lighting

And with the days getting shorter and getting dark earlier, it’s so important to have great lighting in your home! It has such an impact on my mood and I’m sure I’m not the only one. I’ve partnered with HomeGoods to show you how to create mood-enhancing, beautiful lighting in your home. They provided me a gift card to go shopping, and I didn’t hesitate for one second!

Fall Vignette with new lighting

You’ve seen my entry way before, but I still was hoping to add two matching lamps to my Craigslist dresser. And of course I wanted to deck it out for fall, too!

I found these beautiful rustic lamps with linen-y shades and they were exactly what I’ve been looking for. I love how they play off the grainy texture of my dresser that I painted with chalk paint. They bring that rustic element into my home for fall, but they will also transition so well into other seasons.

And here’s the best part. I seriously could not believe the price tag. These were only $40 each! I’m such a bargain hunter and this really is a great deal on a gorgeous, large lamp!

I also couldn’t pass up this beautiful, rustic yellow orb. I’ll be using this year-round as well. The pumpkin bread scented candle was a no-brainer. Wish you could smell it! Scrumptious.

Fall Vignette with Chalkboard Art

The beautiful Fall chalkboard printable is from Nest of Posies. Perfect description of Fall. Love it!

I love how the lamps add just the right touch and finish off the space.

There’s that pretty yellow orb again. πŸ™‚

Fall Vignette with mini pumpkins

And of course I had to add some mini pumpkins. What fall decor is complete without a little pumpkin in it? I tried to use quite a few of the elements I described in my 11 Ways to Add Fall to Your Home post. I have chalkboard, burlap, pumpkins, gourds, leaves and definitely the rustic element is covered.

I even took some pictures last night to show you how glow-y it looks. I love having that cozy lighting in the evenings. It’s not quite cold outside, but I’m counting down the days when I can turn on the lamps, light a fire and blog under a cozy blanket, all while sipping hot cider.

Do you love lamps and low lighting or are you an overhead lighting kind of girl {or guy}?

How does lighting effect your mood?

If you could put it anywhere you wanted, where do you need more lighting in your home?

Come by and see how I added another lamp to my living room. It’s now one of my favorite places to hang out.

As a part of their Happy Home Resolutions, HomeGoods has given me two $50 gift cards to give away to two of my readers! So fun!! Just follow the instructions below to enter!

You’re so right…. lamps beat overhead lighting hands down. Two repeating lamps really frames a nice vignette like the one you created. Love it.

Stunning Laura- those lamps are fabulous!! And the yellow orb is gorgeous too – what a pretty fall vignette. Totally makes me want to cozy up too… but it is already getting cool (and very very wet) here!!

I’m kind of jealous that it’s already cold where you are, although I would expect it to be! It was a hot 88 degrees here today. It was almost miserable! But this weekend we’re supposed to get some rain and then highs will be in the 70’s all next week. I’m sooooo ready and excited for fall weather!!

I absolutely agree that lamps are so much better than overhead lights. I need to add some larger lamps to my family room. I will have to check out Home Goods.

I am loving the lamps…but that mirror – OMG it’s to die for!!! We don’t have overhead lighting in our living room so I rely on lamps to really light up the place – these are beautiful and the price isn’t bad either…congrats on the new look in your entryway!
