A Farm Fresh Christmas Trees Mantel

| |

A Farm Fresh Christmas Tree Sign is a fun way to celebrate the season of Christmas with a rustic, farmhouse vibe! It’s adorable  green trees of spruce, pine and fir give a simple nod to the tradition of cutting down your own tree. And the weathered boards of the background add a simple texture to the holiday decor.

I love, love, love the Christmas season and decorating the mantel comes second only to decorating the tree. It’s the star on top of the holiday decor and I love to share it first of all of my home decor posts at Christmas.

I spend many nights cozied up in my recliner perusing Pinterest and magazines gathering ideas for how I’m going to decorate the mantel each season.

Have you seen this super cute “Farm Fresh Christmas Trees” sign all over the place? I have too and absolutely adore it! Here’s the thing, though, I’ve seen so many different versions that I have no idea where the original idea came from. But lo and behold I figured it out and it was created by Katie at Modern Mountain Life.

And bonus!! She sells the actual Farm Fresh Christmas Trees Silhouette svg file so I grabbed one {here} and made my own sign with her original design. Woop! I love how it turned out! If you want to just buy the sign or a stencil to make your own, you can do that here and here.

Here’s a little secret, though. The sign is reversible. Yep! I couldn’t decide between two ideas, so I just made two signs on the two different sides and I’ll show you the other side soon. I’ll also share how I made the shiplap look. If you want to know how to make just a simple, basic large wood sign, you can check out my tutorial here.

I tried to keep the rest of the mantel simple with my same galvanized baskets with lamb’s ear that I’ve had up there since the summer. I kept the cotton stems from the fall and just added some rustic pomegranate branches. (Check out a close up of the pomegranates on Instagram.)

Let's Mistletoe pillow from Target is the cutest way to get into the Christmas mood!

This “Let’s Mistletoe” pillow was just too cute to pass up. I try not to overdo it on throw pillows, so I limit myself to 1 new pillow per season. 😉 This one is adorable!

The wooden nesting houses are from the new Hearth and Hand with Magnolia line at Target. I wanted something simple, yet cute to balance out the stockings on one side, and they were just the ticket! I love them and such a great price point!

My tree in the living room is our family tree with all of the family ornaments we’ve collected over the years. I just love the history it holds. I try to fancy it up a little bit with some plaid navy ribbon and those wooden skis I got from the Target Dollar Spot a few years ago. The ruffled burlap tree skirt was a find from a few years ago and I still love it.
