Patio Ideas, Summer Decor & a Cheerful DIY Wreath (HSS #506)

This week marked the official start of summer swim team season, which means our whole family is fully immersed in all things swimming! My husband is coaching the team this year, my oldest daughter is coaching alongside him, and both of my girls are swimming. As the volunteer coordinator, I stay busy behind the scenes, too. Needless to say, we’re talking, thinking, planning, and living swim team life 24/7 these days! 🏊🏻‍♀️

Aside from swim team, we spent Memorial Day weekend at the lake. Unfortunately, the weather didn’t quite cooperate, and it seemed like it rained almost nonstop. We were able to sneak out on the boat for a few hours each day, which was a nice break, but otherwise it was a pretty soggy weekend. Even so, it was wonderful to get away for a few days.

As much as I enjoyed the change of scenery, I was also happy to get back home and settle into our summer routine. Of course, “routine” is a loose term this time of year! Between constantly feeding hungry teenagers and keeping up with people coming and going all day, summer has a way of keeping everyone on their toes.
