Fall Pillow Ideas, Beautiful Tablescapes & Classic Plaid Decor (HSS #525)
October always seems to fly by once it arrives! Between school activities, football weekends and all the fun things we want to squeeze into fall, I’m especially drawn to decorating ideas that make a difference without taking an entire afternoon.
One of my favorite ways to cozy up a room is simply changing a few pillow covers. I can keep the blue and neutral pillows we use throughout the year, then add a warm plaid, pretty botanical print or soft velvet texture for fall. It gives the whole room a fresh look without replacing everything, or finding storage for a dozen extra pillows!
If mixing colors and patterns feels a little intimidating, try my simple formula: one solid pillow, one pattern and one cozy texture. Repeat a color across the combination, and it will feel collected without looking too busy.
