Fall Mantel Ideas, a Cozy Bedroom & Dough Bowl Centerpiece (HSS #523)
Fall has officially arrived, and this weekend has us in full football mode! We’re heading to Auburn for the game, and I’m looking forward to all the fun that comes with a college football weekend: the traditions, the food and, thankfully, a little cooler weather!
Back at home, I’ve been thinking about the easiest ways to make a room feel cozy without changing everything. One of my favorite tricks is simply swapping a few throw pillows. They’re an easy way to introduce warmer colors, rich texture and a little pattern without committing to an entirely new decorating scheme.
And if mixing patterns feels intimidating, start small. Choose one larger pattern you love, add a smaller complementary print and give the combination some breathing room with a solid pillow. Your home doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s! It should feel collected, comfortable and personal to you.
