Christmas Tour 2013: Pretty in Plaid

One would think that since the name of my blog relates to the color Turquoise, then my Christmas would be turquoise. But one would be mistaken. πŸ™‚ This year I just felt the tug to go traditional. I know the blogland is chock-full of beautiful hot pink and bright blue amazing Christmas spaces, but traditional just felt right this year. Kind of homey and cozy.

And I have fallen in love with plaid. If there’s a way to incorporate it or buy it for Christmas, then I’m all in. It just screams traditional, rustic & woodsy to me.

Although I’m still loving all things metallic too. I’m especially enamored with mercury glass this time of year. I don’t have it everywhere, but little hints here and there.

So cozy up next to the fire …

Pour a cup of tea or … coffee. And add some yummy peppermint mocha creamer {because that’s my fave}!

I love it all! I have been going a bit more traditional this year too. The plaids are just perfect. I wanted that car pillow from Target, but it was gone at my Target. Looks perfect in your space!

Oh my Laura I LOVE it all. I am absolutely DROOLING over those pillows!! They so don’t have those at the Target in Canada… I love the banner too, and your beautiful plates. I just bought those exact same chargers at IKEA – (I am so excited because I have been wanting them for so long). You are seriously talented at creating a beautiful homey space and knowing when to stop – just the right amount of everything so it feels beautiful, warm, and cozy without being overstuffed! (hmmm it always makes me think I need to pare back a little – lol!)

I can’t wait to incorporate more into my decorations for next year! Love how you always put such a fun spin on everything…even when you do TRADITIONAL you do it with such fun! XO!
