A BIG Announcement …

Hey friends! Long time, no talk. Right?

You may have noticed that it’s been a little quieter than normal around here. Or you may not have noticed, because I know you have a life and there are a ton of other things to keep you entertained besides this blog. 🙂 But let’s pretend for a minute that you’ve noticed.

You may have seen me talk about how lazy I have been … and unmotivated to tackle anything on my project list. But I’m here to let you in on a little secret. A secret that I can’t keep in anymore. 🙂

Coach and I are expecting Baby #2!! WOOHOO!

Baby #2 Announcement

The best reason for being lazy and unmotivated … at least in my book. I could probably more accurately have called it nauseous and exhausted. But that would have been too much of a clue, and I just wasn’t ready to spill the beans just yet. 🙂

If you’ve been around a while, then you know that Coach and I have struggled for two years to have a second baby. I shared about it in this post a few months ago. Our two-year journey to this point has not been easy. But I truly believe that everything happens in His perfect timing. So I had to learn to trust in the perfect Planner.

I shared a little bit about the heartbreak of losing two babies to miscarriage in that post. But I wrote it before I learned a very valuable lesson. During the time we tried to have a second child, I was so focused on baby – baby – baby. I wanted another baby so bad that I could hardly stand it. And finally one day God just said to me, “you know, I give good gifts that don’t always come in the form of children.” It was such a huge lesson for me to learn. I had literally made myself to believe that this was the only good gift I was willing to take, when I had blessing after blessing all around me.

So for now I’m thankful for all of my blessings, including this little one growing inside me. And I’m also enjoying such blessings as taking long naps every day and eating enough so that I’m not nauseous, but not so much that it makes it worse. {Bring on the second trimester!! Only a couple more weeks!} And I’m thoroughly enjoying the blessing of this parking space …

Expectant Mother's Parking

Hopefully I’ll find the energy to tackle some projects soon!

  10. Congratulations to the whole family! I was just at a baby shower on Sunday and all of us crones (that’s what we are calling ourselves, because crones have seen it, lived it , done it, and lived to laugh about it!) Were commenting on how amazing the circld of life is. We were surrounded by pregnant Mama’s. Some first timers, like the guest of honor, and others carryng their second or third while the hopeful singles chased the toddlers around the yard. All the while the Nana’s and Great Grandmom’s looked on and smiled. Such a blessing God has given you, cherish every second for, as you know, they grow so fast.♡♥♡♥♡♥
