3 Tips for Getting the BEST Deals on Prime Day
It’s seems that in addition to Prime Days in the summer and Black Friday deals in November, we’ve now embraced an in-between Deal Day experience in October. I remember this last year and thinking, isn’t it too early to be doing Black Friday deals?
But honestly, it’s so smart! I love being able to start holiday shopping early and get as much of it wrapped up as possible. I’ve already been buying gifts for my girls and nieces and nephews.
Spreading the buying out over several months is really nice for the budget, too!
So, I’ve gathered some of my favorite deals from the top retailers that are participating in the deals this week. I hope they help you save some money and get a jump on those gifts (for yourself or others)!

Amazon Prime Big Deal Days
You will need an Amazon Prime membership to participate in these deals, but that’s the case most of the time with their sales. I’ve had a membership for years and it more than pays for itself with fast free shipping, music and streaming services.
Tips for Shopping the BIG Deal Days:
Here’s the thing. If you’ve been eyeing something, then now’s the time to check and see if it’s on sale. And if you buy something regularly, check to see if it’s included in the sale. This is a great time to stock up on every day essentials!
1. Buy Your Essentials Again
Go to your “buy again” section of your Amazon Prime account and see what things you’ve already bought and loved are on sale. This is mine. I see that my collagen powder is on sale! So, now’s the time to stock up at a lower price.
2. Utilize the “Save for Later” Section in Your Cart
As I’m shopping and searching for items throughout the year, I’ll see something I want, but may not be in the budget right now. So, I’ll add it to cart, then go into my cart and tap the “save it for later” button. Then all of those items are saved for me. I’ll also get alerts when they go on sale.
Then when it’s Prime Day or a Big Deals Day, I’ll go to my shopping cart and scroll down until I see the “save for later” section. Take the time to scroll through those items during any deal days!
3. Pay Attention to Real Discounts
I use an app called Honey to detect if things are actually a good deal or if they’ve been artificially inflated to look like a good deal. It’s something I can download on to my computer and a little box will pop up and show me the price history of that item I’m viewing.
You can see which items are really a good deal, or not! I like using this for myself, but also so I know if I’m sharing good deals with you, or not!
Those are my top tips for getting the best deal on any sale days from Amazon!
Target Circle Week
I’ll be updating this post later today with some specific deals, but you can shop all Target Circle Deals HERE! You have to be a Target Circle member, but it’s totally free (and worth it) to join!
Check back later for a collage and my top deals this week!
Walmart + Deals
Walmart is also jumping in on the sales this week! You do have to join Walmart+ to access them. I’m a Walmart+ member because I live very close to a super walmart and I so almost all of my grocery shopping there. I get free pick up, free delivery on certain items and 5 cents off of gas! So, it’s very much worth it for me.
I’ll be back later with my favorite items, but if you’re already a member, you can check out all of the Walmart deals HERE.
