Cute Summer Dresses

I’ve found some adorable, casual and affordable summer dresses that I know you will love!

As much as I love summer, the heat here in the South makes feeling my best a little challenging. We spend almost every day either at the pool or the lake. In this heat, you gotta be near water at all times. Ha!

So, while most of the time you’ll find me in a swimsuit and cover-up, I do go out to dinner or lunch in the summer and need a quick, but cute outfit to throw on. And the goal is to always be as comfortable as possible!

Summer Style Must-Haves

Here recently, I’ve been loving my Walmart purchases, like my new patio furniture and these gorgeous planters. And I even shared about some of my favorite sweaters back in the winter.

I have been so impressed with the style and quality of their products!

1. The Essential Brunch Dress

Let’s start off with this adorable gingham ruffle-sleeve dress that is PERFECT for dressing up or down this summer. This is from the Time and Tru line, which has a ton of affordable price points!

I’m in an XL in the dress, which is my normal size. It’s definitely more fitted at the top and roomier at the bottom.

This dress would be perfect for brunch or a casual picnic or dinner. If you have some red accessories, it would be perfect for a 4th of July picnic! Just add a woven bag and these espadrille wedge sandals and you’re ready to rock the 4th!

2. Strappy Sandals

Can I just say that those wedge sandals with memory foam are SO comfortable and cute?! I don’t normally wear strappy sandals, but these are a staple. I love them so much!!

The ankle strap hits a a perfectly flattering angle, so it elongates my legs. I’m wearing a size 11, and they run true to size.

3. The Casual T-Shirt Dress

Next up, I’ve got the perfect cotton t-shirt dress from the Free Assembly line in a bold stripe! It’s a classic piece and easy to throw on over a swim suit or to run errands around town. I love the green striped one I’m wearing here, but I also have it in black. And it comes in several other cute colors!

Dress it up or down, you’ve gotta love a t-shirt dress for a casual, thrown-together look in the summer. And it’s not too hot, so perfect for keeping me breezy during the long, hot days of summer.

4. Tiered Ruffle Dress Cover-Up

Finally, I love a tiered ruffle t-shirt dress, featured in the collage below. It’s such a great price point! And this year they added pockets to these dresses. Throw the dress and a cute ball cap on after going to the pool for a put together look for running kids to activities.

5. Small Tote Pool Bag

The beige and pink tote bag is made out of recycled plastic and comes with an interior bag perfect for a phone, cards, cash and small essentials!

If your kids are older and can help carry their own pool gear, this bag is perfect for mom’s drink and a beach read! It’s wipeable, so perfect for the pool, lake or ocean.
