Transitional Fall Dresses

It’s the time of year, at least in the South, when the temperatures are still hot, but we’re in back-to-school season and football is starting!

We are ready for fall, but it still feels like summer outside, and we want to wear color, patterns and textures that feel more suitable for colder months. But we still have a couple of months before the weather cooperates.

And that means we need transitional pieces in our wardrobe, like autumn colors and dark floral prints, but the fabrics must be breathable and light.

I’ve picked out some really cute transitional fall dresses on Walmart.com and shipped them to my house! I love the variety of dresses for all occasions from casually running around town to a brunch or bridal shower.

These are good quality pieces at Walmart Fashion that are in fall colors and patterns and would work great with layers. I love that they don’t break the bank, too!

My favorite dress out of the bunch is this long-sleeve, button-down dress that comes in 3 colors. Of course, I picked the blue and white combination, but I love the other patterns as well.

The button-tab sleeves mean you can choose to roll up the sleeves, or not. And if you do want the sleeves rolled up, they will stay there! I sized up one from my regular size to accommodate my shoulders, and it was the perfect size for me. I wore it to my daughter’s Junior Cottillions parents’ meeting and got several compliments.

Another favorite dress was this ruffled-sleeve, tiered dress that comes in multiple colors, as well. It’s perfect for pairing with a jean jacket or long cardigan this fall. I think it would be great for something like game day where you want to look nice, but still feel comfortable and cool! I’m wearing my normal size in the dress below.

I hope you find a dress or two (or three) that you love as well! At these awesome price points, you can definitely stock up!

Happy fall and happy shopping!

xo, Laura
