Should you closing the space above kitchen cabinets? Pros and cons to closing the space above the cabinets!
I have that small dusty space above my cabinets, like most people. And it’s not big enough to put anything up there. Not that I would know what to do up there even if it was bigger.
Recently I’ve really been giving thought to how I want to update my kitchen. (You can follow my kitchen Pinterest board HERE.) And one thing I’ve seen is closing in the space above the cabinets.

I’ve since moved from the house with the open space above my cabinets. And I never did close the space in, but I should have!
Our new house has a closed space above the cabinets and I love it! It’s just empty space up there, but it brings the eye up to the ceiling. It makes the room look taller. And there’s no dust up there to clean!! It’s perfect.
And if I ever move into a house again with space above the cabinets, I’ll be closing them in pronto!
