Planked Pallet Fall Decor {Mantel}
Decorate your mantel with pallet fall decor like this beautiful DIY pallet backdrop. Add in some more fall accessories for a beautiful fall mantel!
Happy Monday! At least I think you’ll be happy when you see my Fall Mantel. I know I am … I can hardly stop looking at it. {Or maybe it’s because I had my spring & summer mantel up for so long. Ha!}
The air is just beginning to change here, and the sights, sounds, feel of fall is beginning to happen. I am loving it!
Last year I did a pretty colorful Fall display. And I really loved it, but I wanted to do something simpler this year. Something like my spring and summer mantel that can carry over for more than just a few months. I wanted something I could even transition throughout winter by just changing a couple of things. It’s funny how I feel like my style changes as time goes on.
I decided to go simple, kind-of neutral with two colors: green and orange. I’ll share more about the details of my mantel tomorrow, but today I just wanted to share my view from the couch. 🙂 Now, if I could only convey the smell of my spiced pumpkin candle through the screen, you’d be all set. Enjoy!
Does your style change and evolve over time? How so?
Are you getting into the fall mood?
How’s the weather in your neck of the woods?

Hi Jeanine, I did put the pallet backdrop together. Just screwed in some scrap boards across the back of it to hold it together and painted it. Easy peasy!! Thanks for stopping by!

Wonderful mantle! I do love the simplicity! I was wondering where did you find the adorable white wood block with the pumpkin on it? Did you make it? I just LOVE it!!

So pretty! I need to do something similar in my home. My poor mantel is totally neglected. Thanks for linking up at the Lovely Ladies Linky. I wanted to let you know I’ll be featuring this on my facebook page this weekend. Thanks again for sharing! 🙂 -Emily
Thanks so much for the future feature. 🙂 I’m honored!!
Love the simple, clean look without clutter. I wish I could do that … I just never know when to stop adding stuff.
Thanks for the inspiration.
Blessings,
Audrey Z. @ Timeless Treasures
Ha! I did add more and then took it away. When I add stuff and it starts to get cluttered, I just start taking stuff off. 🙂 I have a couple more things to make that I might add along the way. Or may not, depending on how it looks.
And then sometimes I’m jealous of the people who can add a bunch of stuff to a room or shelf/mantel and it just looks gorgeous! 🙂
Have a happy weekend, Audrey!
Love the simple yet beautiful color scheme of this mantel. Looks darling!
Thank you, Ila!
I adore the fresh simplicity of your mantel! Very calming, yet definitely hints of the new season.

Thanks so much, friend!!
The three green apples make this mantel so special – They seem to pair well with the pumpkin art and the pallet wood.
Thanks Donna! I think the apples and the pallet creation are my favorite things. 🙂
I love it Laura!! It is so beautiful, clean, simple and classic… but with a little fun rustic edge with the pallet and bunting. I love how you know when to stop – perhaps I haven’t gotten there yet:) lol!
Aww, thanks so much, girl! You’re too kind. 🙂
Less is MORE, Laura!! And you knocked this one out of the park! I absolutely LOVE it!! I’m lovin’ the pumpkiin on the candlestick…. I have some of those myself! 🙂
Thanks so much, girl! I love the pumpkin on a candlestick. This is my first year to play with that combo. 🙂
I LOVE your mantle! I’m feeling done with the typical orange, rust, brown and tan fall colors. I like that you brought in green and orange with lots of cream and white. So fresh, so fun! Thanks for sharing!!
Thanks Amy! I’m so glad you like it. 🙂
Looks great. I love the simple look. My mantel hardly ever changes but maybe I’ll do something fall-ish that can go to Thanksgiving and then it’ll give me a reason to redo it while on maternity leave.
Oh, a fall mantel is my favorite. Such a fun season to decorate! 🙂
Your Living Room is so gorgeous. I don’t know how you pull off all the subtle textures but it looks amazing! Great job on the mantle the vignette is divine.
Much Love,
Trisha D.
Aww, you’re too sweet, Trisha! Thanks so much! 🙂
Love it!! I’ll brew the coffee, come on over and help me with my mantel! Great job Laura! 🙂
Sounds like fun! 🙂 But I’m sure you’ll come up with something gorgeous!!
