In honor of the new season, I wanted to round up some yummy spring and Easter-themed sweet treats! I made some Easter bird’s nest treats last week and they were a big hit! I simply took my butterscotch haystacks recipe, omitted the marshmallows and added some mini egg candies to the top! Aren’t they so cute?!
And if you’re anything like my family, you may have some little ones running around who love to help make (and eat!) these delicious treats. 🐣😉🌷

12 Sweet Spring Treats
1. Buttermilk Cupcake Bites
There’s something magical about buttermilk in baked goods, and these cupcakes are no exception. These moist, fluffy bites are the perfect canvas for pastel-colored buttercream frosting. Add a dash of sprinkles to give them a playful, spring-like flair! Pro tip: Use a mini cupcake tray to make them easy to share.
2. White Chocolate Easter Bark
This one’s a no-bake hero! Simply melt white chocolate, spread it onto a lined tray, and sprinkle it with crushed mini eggs, jelly beans, or pastel sprinkles. Once it sets, break it into pieces for a colorful, crunchy snack.
3. Homemade Marshmallows
Forget store-bought marshmallows! Homemade marshmallows are softer, fluffier, and infinitely more satisfying. Add a touch of pastel food coloring to give them spring vibes with colorful sprinkles!
4. Spring Tree Cake Pops
These little edible trees bring spring celebrations to life! Dip cake balls into pastel-colored candy melts and use “wood” straws as the “trunk.” Add green sprinkles or sugar flowers for foliage, and arrange them in a “forest” on display at your dessert table.
5. Bird’s Nest Cupcakes
These cupcakes are not only scrumptious but adorable too! Top your favorite cupcake recipe with a swirl of green buttercream frosting, and use chocolate shavings or shredded coconut to create the look of a “nest.” Finish with mini eggs or chocolate candy for the ultimate springtime look.
6. Cadbury Creme Egg Dip
Turn the seasonal obsession of Cadbury Creme Eggs into a creamy, rich dessert dip! Simply mix cream cheese, marshmallow creme, and whipped topping with melted creme eggs for a party dip that pairs wonderfully with graham crackers or fruit slices.
7. Chocolate Peanut Butter Nests
Combine melted chocolate and peanut butter with crushed chow mein noodles to create an irresistible sweet-and-salty combo. Shape the mixture into small “nests” and place candy eggs inside for a rustic, spring-inspired treat.
8. White Chocolate Dipped Coconut Marshmallows
Take your marshmallow game up a notch! Cut them out in the shape of a bunny, dip the tails in white chocolate, roll them in shredded coconut, and serve on a platter for an easy finger food idea.
9. Crispy Bunny Treats
A seasonal twist on classic rice cereal treats! Use bunny-shaped molds to press your cereal mixture into fun Easter-themed shapes. Add pastel-colored icing accents for an extra festive touch.
10. Spring Cookie Cups
These colorful cookie cups combine the best of both worlds – cookies and candy! Start with sugar cookie dough, bake them in a mini muffin tin, and fill them with pastel sprinkles and Easter edible treats.
11. Edible Gardens
Edible gardens make snacks almost too cute to eat! Make chocolate pudding “dirt” and top it with crumbled cookies. Add fondant carrots for a whimsical dessert that feels straight out of a spring fairytale.
12. Peeps Pudding Cups with Mini Carrots
Peeps are a staple of spring desserts! Layer colorful pudding with crushed cookies to create “dirt” and top it with a Peeps bunny. Everyone will love grabbing their own little garden cup!
Grab your apron, pick a recipe from the list, and start spreading those springtime vibes. Need help narrowing it down? Why not start with buttermilk cupcake bites and work your way through the list?
Have fun cooking, making and eating together as you celebrate this new season! Enjoy!!
