Add lots of pumpkins and greenery (faux or real) to the center of the tables for a quick and easy fall tablescape. Put a couple of topiaries or floral arrangements along the table for a finished look!
I’m going for simplicity this year in my fall decor as much as possible. I like just a few larger options to a bunch of small options. At one point I really felt like more was better in regards to decor. And that look is cute, but I’ve decided to change things up this season!

But looking at my tablescape this year, you might think – “how is that simple??” Well, it’s a lot of pumpkins, but in reality there are only 3 items in this tablescape: the pumpkins, the greenery & stems and the bay leaf topiaries.
I used what I had – and well, … I have a lot of pumpkins! 😂🎃
My goal was to create a pretty centerpiece without going out and buying anything new specifically for this centerpiece. I knew I had a lot of pumpkins in my stash from year’s past and I really like that look, so I started there.

I put a runner down that is a light blue/cream striped runner. I’ve had it for years and it goes with every season. I can’t find the link to the one I have, but , any of these beautiful neutral table runners would work!

Then I filled in the middle of the table with pumpkins and added my bay leaf topiaries to each end. (I love the simplicity of my DIY dough bowl pumpkin floral arrangement on my DIY buffet console in the background.)

And added a large blue mason jar with some pretty burgundy and cream fall arrangements in the middle of the table.

My faithful hyacinth placemats are the perfect foundation of any table setting and go with any style or season. I love them! I do want to order some gold silverware at some point, but I was trying to just use what I have this go-round!

I bought these beautiful turquoise melamine place settings this summer because I wanted something new. I LOVE how they look so much more expensive than melamine, yet my kids can’t break them. 😉

I finished off the look but simple adding a cloth napkin in the bowls and mini pumpkins on top of each napkin. Super simple!
Isn’t that just so fun?!

Laura you did a great job of combining soothing colors for a soft fall feeling. But, on a personal note… I have minimized my decor because of stress and when I saw this and read that you said you simplified I chuckled. For me, where my life is right now, it’s too much. It just goes to show how we view simplicity through different lenses based on current personal life events. Regardless… it is beautiful and I know you’ll enjoy it very much and that’s what counts the most.

Oh my word – gorgeous!!! Love the colors, love the plates, AND love the PLATE RACK?!?! Do tell, DIY? Where did the plates come from? <3
Laura says
Hi Cathy! The plate rack is SUCH an easy DIY – https://theturquoisehome.com/diy-industrial-plate-rack/ – and the plates are from different places. I think the dogwood plate came from a thrift shop and the other two were on clearance at Anthropologie?? It’s been so long, I can’t remember! But I’m so glad you love it! xo, Laura

My favorite! I love all the beautiful colors that you used. I just ordered the flowers. Dining room wall color is beautiful. Can you share what color it is? Turquoise is my favorite color.
