Magnolia Hymn Cards and Dollar Frames
Sometimes it can be hard to find budget-friendly ways to update your home. I know I can get discouraged when I look at my budget for home decor or improvements and my wish list! I’m sure I’m not alone, right?! 😊
My friend, Emily, recently shared a super budget-friendly wall art idea that she used in her new craft room/sewing room. She’s going to hang them on the wall in a cute grouping, but I grabbed them and set them in in her bookshelf to share with you. Maybe once she gets them hung on the wall, I can snap another picture and show that idea as well. This post contains affiliate links for your convenience. See my full disclosure policy here.
But all she did was take some of these Magnolia Market Hymn Cards that her mom picked up for her on a recent trip to Waco. Fortunately they sell them online as well! You can grab some here.

And then Emily went to Michael’s and picked up some wooden dollar frames. She quickly applied a coat of gray paint on them. She didn’t bother to make it a full coverage coat, but rather just quickly brushed it on giving it a little bit of a rustic, weathered look.
Once the paint was dry, she popped those cards in the backs of the frames and was ready to go! They are so light that you could hang them with command strips or some kind of wall adhesive. This is a great solution if you want to decorate a wall, but don’t want to put holes in the walls.
Aren’t these so cute?!

You can use any kind of inspirational cards or sweet notes from your kids or grandkids. I didn’t know anything about these dollar frames from Michael’s, but evidently she uses them for all kinds of quick projects. And I love that you can quickly paint them whatever color you want that goes with your decor.
I love an easy, budget-friendly project. Don’t you!?

Hi Laura, would love to do the Magnolia cars project, but I don’t see the link showing where to purchase them?
Hi Jodi,
Looks like the ones used in the post are no longer available, but Magnolia has these similar ones instead: https://rstyle.me/+bQU5PA871DKXRf0pzuM5_Q

I actually bought these cards recently! I have been rotating them one at a time using a photo clip but I love this idea where many can be spread around at the same time. Thank you for sharing this idea!
How fun that you already have the cards! I just love them! Have a great day, Glenda!! xo, Laura
